Dorothy (Dottie) Eleanor Miller, age 73, of 231 East State Street, Quarryville, PA, passed away on Sunday afternoon, December 23rd, 2007, at her residence of natural causes. She and her husband, Issac (Ike) Diller Miller were married for 25 years this past December 2006. Dottie was born in Delaware County, PA, on November 16th 1934, a daughter of the late Leslie George Widdowson and Ruth Caldwell McDowell. She was a partner with her husband in the well-known Original I. Diller Miller Monument Company, Quarryville, PA. Dottie was a member of the National Train Collectors Association (TCA). She enjoyed traveling with her close friends Bob and Erma of Erma's Flowers & Antiques in Quarryville, PA. Surviving in addition to her husband are five children: Debbie Lynn (wife of Richard LeFlar of Brookhaven, PA), Donna Atz (wife of Gary Thomas of San Jose, CA), William John (husband of Susan Louise Ackroyd of Sykesville, MD), Thomas Edward (husband of Beverly Jean Finney of Wallingford, PA), Richard Scott (husband of Charlene Larkin of Papillion, NE). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Ruth Widdowson (wife of Charles Temple of Quarryville, PA), Marilynne Joyce Widdowson (wife of Paul Mecouch of Ridley Park, PA); two brothers, David Lee Widdowson (husband of Jerry of Willow Street, PA) and Donald Edward Widdowson (husband of Patricia McGonigle of Perry County, PA). Dottie was preceded by two brothers, George Leslie Widdowson III, Gilbert Widdowson and step-son Issac Diller Miller III. Funeral services were held at the Reynolds Funeral Home in Quarryville, PA on Saturday, December 29th, 2006 at 11:00AM with Rev. Dr. James Haun officiating. Interment followed in the Quarryville Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Dottie’s memory to Hospice of Lancaster County, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125 or by calling (717) 295-3900.
